Last year during the Winter Classic buildup for the Flyers/Rangers, we all fell a little more in love with Peter Laviolette, as he shoved Steve Ott and told him to go fuck himself, as he blamed the referees at the Bell Centre for being "Montrealtypical," and in a not-so-manly moment, shed a tear after the Flyers lost to the Rangers in the Winter Classic.
Along the way, we grew to love Lavy even more because he loved himself some JAM!, and loved his players to show some JAM! out on the ice. A little giddy up and go, if you will. Apparently, JAM! hasn't been trademarked to Lavy, and John Tortorella probably fired a shot at the Flyers and Lavy tonight during an in-game interview against the Bruins with NBC Sports's Pierre Maguire.
You wanna play with some JAM! Rangers? That's all well and good. But don't act like you invented JAM!, because Peter Laviolette invented the recipe. People on Twitter went crazy.
Tortorella drops a "we're playing with some jam" during the Rangers/Bruins broadcast. I thought that was copyrighted already?
